How difficult is the move?
The effort involved in switching from MAM Autowork depends on your current setup, live diary and the data your incumbent system makes available for export. It is rarely a flawless overnight transition where every historical field translates perfectly.
TorqueOS assesses what can move before cut-over. A practical plan may close active work in progress (WIP) in the old system while new bookings and new work are prepared for TorqueOS. Assisted setup and data migration are distinct services when help is needed.

Data access and exports
Already using another garage system? We’ll help you understand what data can be brought across and make the move to TorqueOS as straightforward as possible. Your ability to bring existing information into TorqueOS depends on the data and export access available from MAM Autowork. We do not assume every record or field can be extracted.
Available exports can be assessed for cleaning, mapping and validation. If access is limited, the migration scope and archive plan will need to adapt. Assisted setup and data migration services are available; costs depend on the existing system and amount of data transferred.

We follow a consistent, controlled process to move established UK workshops onto TorqueOS.
Scope setup and onboarding
Need help getting started? We can help set up TorqueOS around your workshop, mapping essential daily workflows and helping your team get running with minimum disruption. Assisted setup is separate from data migration.
Identify exportable data
We ask you to pull test exports from MAM Autowork and determine what customer files, vehicle records and stock lists can be extracted cleanly. Migration support depends on the source system, data quality, export access and complexity.
Clean, map and validate
Where data migration assistance is needed, we map usable exported columns to TorqueOS fields, validating phone numbers, VRMs and service dates before any live import where the source data supports it.
Configure TorqueOS
If you need assistance, we can configure ramp schedules, labour rates, technician profiles and standard job templates so TorqueOS reflects your physical workshop.
Train staff
With assisted setup where needed, the team gets comfortable before day one. Technicians learn how to clock on and view job cards; front-of-house learn how to build estimates, order parts and invoice.
Agree controlled cut-over
We pick a switch date. Jobs booked before this date are finished and invoiced in MAM Autowork. All new arrivals and new bookings are built natively in TorqueOS.
Retain an archive
Rather than forcing every historical invoice into the new system, we recommend retaining an archive or PDF export from MAM Autowork for your permanent business records.
