Where assisted data migration is needed, exported data is cleaned and organised where possible, then key details such as vehicle registration numbers are checked where the source data allows.
If you need assistance, we can configure your parts margins, labour rates, default job templates, user roles and integrations so the system aligns with your commercial reality.
With assisted setup where needed, technicians learn how to view job cards and record time; front-of-house practise taking bookings, ordering parts and generating invoices so the workshop is ready to run.
We agree a clear changeover date in the diary. Existing jobs stay in your old system until complete. New arrivals are recorded in TorqueOS, so the team may need to check both systems for a short time.
It is a mistake to expect new software to act as a perfect historical vault for complex past invoices. Where your current system permits it, retain an available report or PDF archive for useful historical records.
Bring a sample customer and vehicle export, a list of open bookings and jobs, and the services your workshop depends on. Ask what can be imported, what should remain in an archive and how the team will handle work in progress. TorqueOS is built to take chosen plug-in services as they become available; not every connection is live today. Assisted setup and data migration are separate services and are scoped to the source system.
Be wary of promises that "everything" will migrate perfectly. Historical job cards, complex invoice layouts, and highly specific service histories rarely map cleanly between different database structures. Assisted setup and data migration services are available; costs depend on the existing system and amount of data transferred.
Jobs currently on the ramp, vehicles waiting for parts, and customer approvals mid-flight cannot simply be paused. Bookings before the cut-over date are invoiced in the old system. Bookings after the cut-over go into TorqueOS.

Yes. TorqueOS is designed for established independent workshops as well as businesses setting up from scratch. The switching plan accounts for existing customers, vehicles, diary commitments, open jobs, staff setup and the historical information the workshop still needs.
Your workshop stays in charge of its buying choices. TorqueOS is built so chosen services can plug in as they become available; the plug-in design does not mean every connection is already live. A software changeover should separately account for the records and exports available from the system you use now.
